Prayer for Victims of Abuse
06 December 2024 14:00
On Friday 6th December, we are joining a regional prayer initiative to pray for victims of abuse at 2pm, using this form of the litany. All are welcome to join us in the chapel in church, or pray from home.
This is the feast of St Nicholas, often seen as the patron saint of children. This time of prayer gives us the opportunity to acknowledge the pain suffered by many victims of abuse, including those who have suffered at the hands of the church, and to pray for them as well as all those invovled in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
