St Nicholas Hospice Care
Haverhill was pleased to host a live screening of St Nicholas Hospice Care's Thankful service at St Edmundsbury Cathedral. The service celebrated 40 years of care in West Suffolk and Thetford, including Haverhill. Blue knitted hearts were distributed during the service to those attending, which had been made by a team from Haverhill.
The Revd Max Drinkwater has also been appointed a trustee of the hospice, reflecting the important work that the hospice do in the community and the strong partnership between the hospice and other community groups, including churches. The hospice not only cares for those with life-limiting illness, but also supports carers, helps the bereaved and grieving, advocates for good end-of-life care and provides important community spaces through its shops and the Haverhill Hub.
