Haverhill Science Festival
Haverhill Science Festival comes to the town for the first time this year in April. On Monday 22nd April at 7pm, St Mary’s Church is hosting a talk from Professor Russell Cowburn, arrange with the support of the Faraday Institute in Cambridge.
Russell is Professor of Experimental Physics at the University of Cambridge, where he researches nanotechnology and its application to healthcare. He is also a Christian. Some people might find this a strange combination. In this talk, ‘Science and Faith: Friends or Foes?’, Prof Cowburn explores some of the reasons some people think science and faith are incompatible and makes the case for why, in fact, they make perfect companions.
Admission is free and all are welcome. There will be an opportunity for discussion and to ask questions.
