Presentation to the Living

The Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich has advised us that, as of Monday 15th April 2024, the suspension of presentation to the benefice of Haverhill and Withersfield is lifted. As such, the Revd Max Drinkwater is to be collated, inducted and installed as rector by the Archdeacon of Sudbury at a service on Monday 20th May 2024 at 7.30pm, to which all are welcome.

Although this does not change much practically, it marks a significant moment in the spiritual life of the church community, has some legal implications, and is symbolic of the journey of faith that we are taking together. The service in May will be a celebration of the work of God in the benefice through those who minister in his name.
