Could you Sponsor a Stone at St Mary's?

St Mary's in Haverhill is in need of much needed repair work, and we are launching the Sponsor a Stone campaign to raise awareness and support for this important conservation work.

Churchwarden Jane Eccleston says, 'St Mary’s Church has stood at the centre of the town of Haverhill for over 800 years and it is now our responsibility to ensure that it continues to be here, serving the community, for many years to come. We urgently need your support, whether you are a regular worshipper, you are someone who has appreciated having the church here for significant family events or you visit the Community Café and other special events.'

We have already received generous support from individual donors and from the Friends of St Mary's, and are looking to raise around £25,000 in total. Please speak to Jane or to the vicar if you have any questions about the work or about the campaign. You can see how we are progressing on a board in church.

• For the younger ones amongst us, why not fill a Smarties tube with coins, after eating the contents of course!
