Lent 2024: Watch and Pray
This year’s Lent reflections use the Church of England’s Watch and Pray campaign. Here are some ways to join in:
- join the discussion on Wednesday lunchtimes over homemade soup, from 12pm. Don't worry if you can't attend every week, or don't have a copy of the book.
- read Tarry Awhile by Selina Stone, the Archbishop’s Lent book, which the discussion will be based on.
- pray and reflect each day using the Watch and Pray booklet. There are versions available for adults and children. You can also download the Watch and Pray app, or ask Alexa to ‘read the Lent reflection from the Church of England’.
- give to Tearfund, which is our nominated charity this Lent - and come along on Sunday 3rd March to hear our guest speak, Diana Pereira, speak about their work.
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, 14th February. All are welcome to the Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes at 9.30am or 7pm, or streamed live online.
